OSBO responds to Health Care Reform Print E-mail
Saturday, 22 May 2010

With the growing concern among business owners regarding how the new Health Care Reform Policies will impact their business, OSBO is happy to annouce the newest addition to the OSBO Benifits programs for our members and their employees.

The new Health and Lifestyle Perx Benefits program offers three packages of benefits that may be purchased at a low cost by either the employer or the employee.  All OSBO Benefits may be offered by the employer of OSBO member firms to their employees as either employer paid or employee paid.  Any of the benefits programs belong to the individual and will go with them if they change conpanies.

By packaging multiple programs, the cost is lowered for the individual plans at a great savings over purchasing the programs individually.  Members can choose either the health discount benefits, the lifestyle discount benefits or a combination of both.  A prescription discount card is offered to all member firms and their employees at no cost.  These programs are not insurance but are intended as a supplement to the existing insurance plans.

Many firms with part time employees or small employee pools will now be able to offer benefits that they typically would not otherwise offer.  It has been shown that employers that provide some form of employee benefits gain and retain better quality employees.

More information about these benefits are detailed on the OSBO Website under the Benefits tab.  OSBO Health and Lifestyle Discount Benefits

It is a natural inclination to want to get in with one of the "big guys." But, as many professionals have found, the opportunities are often just as lucrative -- if not more so -- at small businesses and start-up companies.
